Actor Kim Min-hee and director Hong Sang-soo are reportedly no longer together.
According to Sports World‘s exclusive report, one of Hong’s close acquaintances has told Sports World that “Kim and Hong broke up a month ago. Director Hong was very worried about Kim’s future.”
The article also wrote, “the couple’s breakup was hinted last month at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival. Hong was invited to the festival with his new movie Grass (2017), which also stars Kim Min-hee. Because both Hong and Kim usually showed up at film festivals together previously, many expected to see the couple this time, as well. However, only director Hong showed up.”
Although Sports world tried contacting both Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee to confirm the news, both sides only claimed they “don’t know about private life”. Yet, an acquaintance of Kim Min-hee said, “She (Kim Min-hee) is currently spending time alone after cutting off communication with other people. She is not even talking to her manager, so I don’t think she is thinking about coming back to work at this moment.”
