Singer Hyolyn showed off her elegance in the recently released May issue of Allure Korea.
Because Hyolyn has mostly demonstrated sporty and “girl-crush” look in the past, she got the opportunity to show a completely different side of her in Allure Korea. Following the pictorials, Hyolyn also participated in an interview to talk about her solo single project, ‘SET UP TIME.’
For the second song of ‘SET UP TIME,’ Hyolyn collaborated with producer Grey in the song ‘Dally’. She said, “I was thankful Grey willingly agreed to work with me. He produced the beats for the song, and I instantly came up with the concept. His beats reminded me of a couple with opposite personalities, who fails to overcome their differences.”
She further explained, “Grey wrote the lyrics from the guy’s point of view. And I helped coming up with the melodies to put on top of the beat making. We got to exchange our opinions and the work was really fun.”
Hyolyn also has an experience of collaborating with boy group, GOT7. She commented that ‘music’ really influences her decision to collaborate with different singers. She added, “I thought about collaborating with IU, because she has something unique that I don’t. I think she would be able to help me bring those aspects out if we were to work together.”
