During the event, Producer Kim Tae-ho talked about Jeong Hyeong-don’s struggle with switching from comedy to variety.

On Nov. 28, “Infinite Challenge” Producer Kim Tae-ho held his first public speech after returning to filming. During the event, he revealed behind-the-scenes information on the cast of “Infinite Challenge”.

“Jeong Hyeong-don did comedy first before switching to variety. ‘Infinite Challenge’ relies on on-site personality, which is different from comedy,” he said.

“People who aren’t afraid of being filmed on camera usually do well on this type of show. In the beginning, Jeong Hyeong-don went along with the others and always used the phrase ‘That’s what I thought too’. It started and ended with him just standing there,” he said.

“He thought he could rely on his fat, chubby character to pull him through until Jung Jun-ha was cast in the show. For the next four years, he suffered a lot mentally and emotionally.”

However, Kim also revealed that the members’ strong, individual personalities served as a source of strength for the show. He shared that they each had the power to transform normal circumstances into interesting ones. “Later, they all became amusing characters. I think they’re the most comfortable characters in Korea.”
