On May 8, 2PM member Jun.K secretly enlisted in the military as an active soldier.
Furthermore, he left a handwritten letter to his fans before he enlisted and surprised them even more. In the letter, Jun.K first mentioned the incident where he was caught drunk driving.
He said, “in February, I let down so many of you due to my misbehavior. I decided to write this letter to offer my sincere apology once again. After the incident, I’ve locked myself in, feeling nothing but ashamed and regretful. I reflected upon the time where I tried have it all. I tried to fulfill the lifelong dream of mine to become a professional singer, and the temptations anyone could have in their 20’s. Now that I think about it, I should’ve been more responsible for my career, and I failed.
In conclusion, he said, “I will straighten myself out. I will accept all criticism for my misbehaviors and always be mindful of those who have loved and supported me. And I will try to become the person who is not embarrassed of himself.”
Meanwhile, Jun.K became the second 2PM member to enlist in the military, following Taecyeon. The rest of 2PM members plan to focus on individual activities, as Jun.K fulfils his mandatory military duties.
