This week’s episode of SBS’s Running Man that aired on February 17 was another mukbang tour for the cast members as they complete missions to avoid the punishment.

For this week’s episode consisted of a mukbang race between Team Yoo (Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Jeon So Min, Lee Kwang Soo) and Team Kim (Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, Haha, Yang Se Chan). As each team sets off to quickly eat a selected food item with a small budget at each round, there were missions to try to disqualify the other team by making the opponent’s bomb to explode. Main Highlights
Love Line: One of the highlights was the continuous shipping for Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook to hold hands keeping the “love line” active for the single members. Haha and Yang Se Chan did not forget to look for opportunities to cheer “Hold hands! Hold hands!”

Interestingly when one of the missions allowed to “use a friend chance”, Team Kim decided to visit trot fairy Hong Jin Young to complete a mission. Seeing the SBS’s Ugly Duckling shipped couple Kim Jong Kook & Hong Jin Young with the Running Man shipped couple Kim Jong Kook & Song Ji Hyo, Haha made a remark that it seemed like “a American soap opera” since the love rivals were best friends.
Traditional Korean Food: As each team successfully ate a specific menu item at each mission, it was interesting to notice most of the items were expensive traditional food that were rarely affordable within the budget. Especially watching Team Yoo suffer eating fermented skate was very funny given eating fermented skate is similar to eating a spoonful of wasabi with longer side affects. Another noteworthy food clip was the chungkookjang (fermented soy bean soup) segment where team members did absurd things to make everyone laugh

Winners: The winning team was Team Yoo, who successfully made Team Kim’s bomb explode at the end of the episode resulting in the losing team get splashed with a ladle of cold water by the winning team.
Screen Time: There was undoubtedly a lot of screen time for Team Yoo, they were extremely funny during their missions and very creative trying to succeed at each mission.
