Lee Mi-ji’s brother found the actress in her apartment two weeks after her death.
Police authorities announced that actress Lee Mi-ji passed away due to kidney issues. Prior to her death, the actress was living alone in an officetel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. She was found by her brother two weeks after her death.
On Nov. 28, Seoul Suseo Police Station released their findings to the public, saying, “So far, there are no signs of crime or homicide. There was nothing strange with the CCTV findings.”
“More details on the cause of death will be revealed after the National Institute of Scientific Investigation goes over autopsy results. It will take twenty days.”
The actress debuted back in 1981 and appeared in over forty dramas and movies, including MBC drama “The Moon of Seoul” and “Country Diaries”, as well as KBS drama “A Bluebird Has It”. She also starred in “Taejo Wang Geon”, “Six Children”, “Man of the Sun, Lee Je-ma”, “Golden Apple”, “The Great Merchant” and “It’s Okay Because I Am a Mom”.
Lee Mi-ji’s funeral took place on Nov. 29 in Incheon.
