BTS became the first K-Pop group to win an award at a Spanish Award Ceremony.
On April 30, BTS received two awards at ‘The Hall of Stars Awards 2018’ in Madrid, Spain. They won in two categories – World Category and Spain Category.
The World Category was determined with the fan votes from all around the world, except Spain. On the other hand, the Spain Category was determined with the fan votes only from Spain. Thus, BTS became the top artist that received votes from literally all around the world.
BTS has never officially debuted or performed in Spain. However, BTS still managed to charm the Spanish Armies (official fandom name of BTS). It was reported that BTS received overwhelming amount of votes, to the point where other nominees couldn’t compete against them.
Meanwhile, BTS is releasing their 3rd full album, ‘LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR’ on May 18. Furthermore, they will have their comeback stage at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on May 20.
In addition, they will have the opening stage of their world tour ‘Love Yourself’ on August 25 and 26 at the Seoul Sports Complex. Afterwards, they will visit North America and Europe to continue their tour.
