Anyone still having withdrawals after Korean drama Sky Castle ended? Have you ever wondered if admissions coordinators like Sky Castle’s Kim Joo Young really exist to help students get accepted into Seoul National University’s medical school?

On February 17, JTBC’s Cool Kids aired an episode inviting current Seoul National University(SNU) medical students to ask whether things depicted in JTBC’s Korean drama Sky Castle are true.

Shockingly the answer is yes! Apparently admissions coordinators who help high school students get into Seoul National University really do exist in real life in affluent neighborhoods. While the students who appeared on the show denied they were personally aided by an admissions coordinator, the students mentioned they had heard such professionals had helped their peers get accepted into SNU. Could this mean ‘Sky Castle’ characters like Ye-seo and Hye-na exist in real life too?
