On November 10, former JBJ member Kim Yong-guk shared a handwritten letter to apologize about the recent controversies. Through the letter, he expresses regrets about all the troubles he has caused.

“First of all, I want to apologize to fans who have been hurt by my misbehaviors,” he opened up.

He first denied the recent dating involving SONAMOO’s member Nahyun, explaining that they are just friends. Kim Yong-guk then moved on to explain the controversy about his cat Lucy:

“It is true that I’ve sent Lucy for an adoption once and took her back. I still regret my behavior then. I also feel terribly sorry for Lucy for all the pains she didn’t have to feel. My lack of awareness regarding pets has caused much trouble and worries.”

He also apologizes about his attitude towards fans and JBJ promotions shown in his private Instagram account, which has been hacked and disclosed to the public. To the Instagram account, Kim Yong-guk overtly neglected fans.

“I deeply regret what I’ve said and done on my private Instagram account,” he writes. “I’m only thankful of my fans. I could receive so much love from a lot of people when I debuted, thanks to the fans. There is nothing I can do but to apologize that I disappointed those people.”

However, netizens are still upset about his overall behaviors. As Choon Entertainment canceled the artist’s fan event, to which many of the fans purchased multiple albums to get the ticket, some fans asked for refunds of the albums as well.
