Due to the changed Military Service Law, Highlight’s Yoon Doo-Joon will not be participating in the upcoming overseas events.
On June 7, Around Us Entertainment reported, “because of a few amendments made in the Military Service Law on May 29, 2018, it has become difficult for Yoon Doo-Joon to travel outside the country.”
According to a new amendment in the Military Service Law, you can only travel for less than 6 months at once, maximum of 2 years in total. In addition, once your enlistment date is confirmed, you have to come back 5 days before the due date, and only allowed to go abroad 5 times.
Due to the complications in the law, Yoon Doo-Joon, who was born in 1989 and about to enlist in the military, had to limit his travel opportunities. As a result, he will not join the group in the Hanoi K-food event scheduled for June 9 and the Bangkok fan meeting on June 24.
To compensate for Yoon Doo-Joon’s inability to join the events, the agency said they will try to refund the tickets to those who wish. They said, “to those who wish to get a refund for the Bangkok fan meeting, we will talk to the company in charge. Thus, we will find a compromise point that will benefit all parties.”
Meanwhile, Yoon Doo-Joon plans to focus on the drama ‘Let’s Eat 3‘ for now. On June 7, the production team released first pictures of him on the set.
Regarding the drama, Yoon Doo-Joon said, “I felt a lot of pressure reappearing in the drama. Of course I have filmed numerous mukbangs before, but it was still nerve-racking. However, the drama will air in the summertime and I hope everyone can defeat the heat by watching it.”
