WINNER is going to hold an overseas tour that begins this August.
Earlier this week, YG Entertainment announced that boy group WINNER will hold their first-ever overseas tour through the group’s official blog. Along with the post, the agency included an official poster.
According to the announcement, the boy group will kick off their tour with a concert in Seoul on August 19 at the Olympic Park Stadium. From there, they will have shows in eight major Asian cities including Taiwan, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta and more. Further, after the blog post, fans anticipation for the event rose exponentially.
Additionally, while YG Entertainment has confirmed eight cities, it might announce more tour stops in the future. As of yet, full details of the group’s concert schedule have not been released. Notwithstanding, WINNER’s first overseas tour will reportedly feature a variety of stages that displays the musical spectrum of the group’s music.
In particular, given that this is the first tour of its kind for the boy group, they will meet with existing and new fans who love YG’s music. Moreover, it is also a prime opportunity for the group to promote themselves as a force in the Hallyu wave.
