Looks like TWICE is unlikely to attend the 2018 Melon Music Awards!

According to several sources in the industry, TWICE is attending the “MBC Music K-Pop Concert on Guam” on December 1. Because of the event taking place on the same day as the 2018 MMA, the group is least likely to be able to attend the latter event.

TWICE has received much love for their hit tracks “What is Love?” and “Dance the Night Away” this year. Recently, the group announced their third return of the year on November 5 with “Yes or Yes,” attempting to achieve their 10th consecutive hit. Furthermore, the group also confirmed to appear on JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything and MBC’s “Idol Room” for the comeback promotions.

Meanwhile, this year is the 10th anniversary of MMA and the event is receiving more attention from the public than every before. Even by looking at the monthly charts, the lineup is overload with A-list artists. The top monthly artists of 2018 includes Jang Deok-Cheol for January, iKon in February and March, Nilo in April and May, Bolbbalgan4 in June, BLACKPINK in July, Shaun in August, and Sunmi in September.

The first round of voting for this year’s Top 10 opened on October 26 and will run until November 13. The ceremony will take place on December 1 at Gocheok Sky Dome.
