Boy group TopSecret member Kyeongha was recently sentenced for violating the Act of Adolescent Sexual Behavior.
On May 24, TopSecret’s Kyeongha received a prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months, replaceable with 3 years of suspension. In addition, the court ordered him to participate in 40 hours of sexual violence protection program.
They originally charged Kyeongha for sexually assaulting a classmate in December, 2014, when he was still a minor. After Kyeongha debuted as a TopSecret member, the previously mentioned classmate revealed the news through social media.
At the time, JSL Company addressed the issue and said, “we would like to clarify that the rumors circulating about our member Kyeongha is false. We will take strong legal action against any falsehood and rumors that spread online about our artist.”
Despite arguing for their innocence, the agency finally decided to put a stop to Kyeongha’s promotions after the court ruled that he was guilty.
Regarding the violation, a representative of JSL Company reported, “we cannot admit to the sexual assault Kyeongha allegedly committed. At this time, we have appealed for a second trial. We are concerned that it will detrimentally affect the promotions. As a result, Kyeongha has appealed for a second trial on May 29.”
