Rain and Lee Dong-Gun To Star in New JTBC Drama “Sketch.”
Singer and actor Rain (36), real name Jeong Ji-hoon, and actor Lee Dong-gun (38) will star in JTBC’s new TV drama “Sketch.”
On March 5, JTBC explained that “Sketch” is a new investigation drama that will air sometime in May. Rain is set to take on the role of detective Kang Dong-soo who works in the Central Police Agency’s homicide department. Similarly, Lee will be Kim Do-jin, a sergeant at the Special Forces Command.
The interaction between these two law enforcement agents begins with Kim Do-jin’s pregnant wife is murdered. Forlorn and enraged, he seeks revenge for his wife. As a result, Kang Dong-soo is forced into a position where he must stop the sergeant.
On another note, “Sketch” will be a reunion for the Rain and Lee. 15 years ago the two both starred in the 2003 KBS 2 drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School.” Additionally, this will also be Rain’s first acting role since his marriage to actress Kim Tae-Hee in January 2017.
“Sketch” will be directed by Im Tae-wu, who participated in “Air City” (2007) and “Yoo-na’s Street (2014). Further, Kang Hyun-sung who worked on The King’s Case Note (2017) will write the script.
