MAMAMOO, BTOB, Red Velvet, and Wanna One have confirmed to attend this year’s Korea Popular Music Awards!
The 2018 Korea Popular Music Awards will take place at the Ilsan KINTEX on December 20. According to the event’s hosts, major idol groups including Mamamoo, BTOB, and Red Velvet have confirmed to attend the upcoming event.
Previously, reports stated that Wanna One has also confirmed their attendance to the ceremony. The group became the nominee for several categories including Best Artist, Popularity Award, Best Album, and Best Digital Song.
Mamamoo, who has actively promoted and gathered huge success with “Starry Night” and “Egotistic” this past year, has been nominated for four categories. The list includes Best Artist, Best Digital Song for “Starry Night,” and Popularity Award.
BTOB, on the other hand, received nominations for five categories. The group, currently on promotions with their latest album “HOUR MOMENT,” received nominations for Best Artist, Best Digital Song for “Missing You,” Popularity Award, and Best ballad.
Furthermore, Red Velvet, who recently released their fifth mini album “RBB,” became a nominee for six categories. The categories include Best Artist, Best Album for “Summer Magic,” Best Digital Song and Best Group Dance Track for “Power Up,” and Popularity Award.
Meanwhile, winners of each category will be determined by both online voting and a panel of music expert judges.
