According to media outlets Deadline and Variety, NBC cast actress Han Jee-young in the lead role of “Like Magic,” single-camera comedy pilot program. The new show is reportedly a worldplace comedy with a unique element: magic.

Han will play a Holly, a nerdy, socially awkward but friendly and optimistic woman who is striving to be a headline magician at a place called the Magic Palace. Unfortunately, Holly has to deal with eccentricities and egos to get to where she can achieve her dream. Notably, Bridget Kyle who worked on “Super Store,” “Family Guy,” and Vicky Luu who also worked on the same shows wrote the script for the pilot program.

The actress has appeared in numerous shows including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Shameless,” “Santa Clarity Diet,” “Comedy Bang! Bang!,” the film Why Him?, and more. Currently, Han appears in ABC’s drama “Station 19,” which is now airing.
