Singer and entertainer Kim Jong-kook is expected to continue in the entertainment market as a free agent.
On May 26, Kim Jong-kook’s representative said that the singer is “facing the expiration of his exclusive contract” with Maroo Entertainment. However, according to this official, the singer has decided not to renew his contract after a recent discussion.
Although not wholly confirmed, many entertainment industry officials expect Kim to continue as a free agent. Most likely, he will do so with the help of his longtime friend and manager. Regarding this, Kim’s representative said that “nothing has been decided yet” concerning his future course of action.
Nonetheless, it is very possible that he will be a free agent or contact other agency. Reportedly, he is in the process of going through detailed discussions. Previously, Kim acted independently through J.K. Entertainment when he established the company in 2015. Now, according to another entertainment official, the singer is considering returning to his original (J.K. Entertainment) company.”
Meanwhile, the singe made his debut in 1995 as part of Turbo and performed songs like “Twist King” and “Black Cat,” which are still popular today. In addition to his time in Turbo, Kim has launched a successful solo music career and had gone on to be a popular entertainer.
