On November 30, IU took to her Instagram to announce upcoming collaborations with Kim Dong-Ryul and Sam Kim. The singer commented, “I was able to participate as the vocalist and lyricist for the upcoming albums of a senior and junior, whom I respect very much.”

According to her post, her collaboration with Kim Dong-Ryul will drop on December 7. She participated as a vocalist for the track “Fairytale,” which reportedly goes along very well with the atmosphere of cold winter.
In response, Kim Dong-Ryul’s agency said, “Kim Dong-Ryul requested for IU’s participation. When he released his studio album in January, there were many tracks that did not make it into the track list. This upcoming single is one of those tracks.”
For her collaboration with Sam Kim, IU became the lyricist for track “When You Fall,” also featuring vocalist Lee Soo-Jung.
