The harsh conditions presented on the reality show “Law of the Jungle” were all too real for Jung Chae-yeon.
On the February 16 episode of SBS’s reality show, “Law of the Jungle in Patagonia,” DIA member Jung Chae-yeon collapsed after enduring 70 hours without food. To put that into context, that is just shy of the 72-hours that marks a whole three days.
In the episode, the singer shed tears as she complained of severe stomach pain induced by the lack of food. The entire cast was having trouble finding food for themselves — a possibility given the show’s concept. Fortunately, a staff doctor was there to conduct an examination.
Kim Byung-man insisted that Jung Chae-yeon to “go to the base camp and recover,” saying if she stayed she wouldn’t be able to get better. Although she obliged Kim Byung-man, she apologized as she headed off to the base camp.
The singer fully recovered and is a new MC on music show “Inkigayo.”
