On July 3, a Fantagio Entertainment representative told news outlets that boy group ASTRO and girl group Weki Meki will “appear in front of fans with their new albums soon.”

Further, according to the representative, ASTRO is preparing a special album that should be ready for release by the end of the month. All of the group members worked together on the album. Likewise, Weki Meki is reportedly working on a full album, but the agency did not provide an anticipated release date.

Since their last comeback, ASTRO is preparing for a Japanese concert that will take place this coming August. In addition to group activities, some of the members have branched out individually. Member Cha Eun-woo, for example, has taken a role in the new drama “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” which has already started production.

Similarly, the members of Weki Meki have been busy with different projects and entertainment programs since their last album in February. However, according to reports, the majority of their effort has been on working on their new album.

Fantagio’s announcement is important considering reports earlier this year regarding internal turmoil after the dismissal of their CEO. The vacuum in their executive structure left many of their artists at a standstill and the company’s activities rendered illegal. However, the entertainment agency recently nominated a new CEO and as a result, they are expected to recover and help their artists resume their activities.
