On Tuesday, the CEO of the Babsang Community Foundation and Briquette Bank Heo Ki-bok announced that Yoo Jae-suk had donated 71,500 coal briquettes, a donation valued at 50 million won or 50,000 U.S. dollars.

However, this is not the first time that the star MC has donated to the organization. In face, Yoo became a sponsor of the of the Briquette Bank five years ago starting in 2013. Moreover, his good deeds are not limited to monetary contributions. On the television program “Infinite Challenge,” he revealed he personally delivers briquettes to Baesa Village located in the Nowon District of Seoul. Notably, he has been doing this twice a year since 2013.

Further, although Yoo never announces or discloses his donations publically, according to the foundation he has helped a great deal. Over the past five years, Yoo has sponsored 653,020 briquettes (roughly 380 million KRW or 336,738 USD) and helped 4,427 people survive the winter with just nine donations.

CEO Heo Ki-bok expressed his gratitude toward the entertainer for his continued support. Notably, the foundation has not revealed the Yoo Jae-suk’s good deeds to support his desire to help without public acknowledgment for the past several years.
