On Nov. 29, Wanna One and Pristin took home “Best New Female/Male Artist” at the 2017 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) held in Yokohama, Japan.

Wanna One shared their thoughts in a speech. “Thank you for the award. We were thrilled just to even have a chance to attend MAMA. We want to thank our parents and everyone who has worked so hard for us. Now, we would like to pay it towards them. We will work hard without losing sight of our purpose,” they said.

Members Hwang Min-hyun spoke Japanese for the Japanese fans while Lee Dae-hwi spoke in English.

Pristin also conveyed their thanks. “Thank you for giving us such a big award. We were also thrilled and thankful for having the chance to attend MAMA. We want to thank our hard-working staff, and we hope to become a group people can be proud of,” they said.

“Our youngest member, Kyla could not join us today. We wish for her fast recovery so she can join us on stage once more. Please look forward to even more good releases.”
