On March 26th, Hong wrote on his Instagram: “I got scammed through ‘smishing (sms phishing)’, which is a type of voice phishing.”
He continued, “While I was in Thailand filming something, a bro I know texted me. I was so busy I didn’t even call him and sent him several thousands of dollars. And I just realized it was voice phishing. If any of you receives something strange from me, please ignore because my phone probably got hacked.”
