tvN has stated that it has not finalized any decision to cancel SNL Korea yet.
In a statement made on October 27 tvN said, “‘SNL Korea’s ninth season will end the third week of November, but the decision to cancel the show has not been decided.” This statement comes on the back of previous reports that stated that the show would be ending one the current season concluded.
“Saturday Night Live Korea” first aired in Korea in January 2011. The show, like its American counterpart, presents political satire, top-notch gags, and comical skits. Furthermore, the show deviated from other variety and drama shows making it stand out. As such, “SNL Korea” was well received by the public for the past six years.
