‘SNL Korea’ has come to an end after 7 years, with season 9 as its last season.

tvN first premiered ‘SNL Korea’ in December of 2011, and continued with great success until season 9 in November of 2017. However, with that as their last season, they have decided to end the program.

‘SNL Korea’ received much love and attention for their unique comedy contents, such as ‘3-minute Boyfriend,’ ‘Extreme Job: Manager Side,’ and ‘Dubbing Theater’. In addition, they received praise for addressing corruptions in the politics by parodying ‘Produce 101’ and ‘Teletubbies.’

Furthermore, the show consisted a total of 205 episodes with 186 different hosts, and each crew member contributed to help SNL Korea to grow bigger and stronger. Starting with Kim Seul-Gi and Go Kyung-Pyo from season 1, Yoo Byung-Jae, Kwon Hyuk-Soo, Jung Sang-Hoon, Shin Dong-Yup, Yoo Se-Yoon, Ahn Young-Mi, and many more received love from the public for their excellent comedic acting.

tvN said, “we ask for your understanding as the program comes to an end. We would also like to thank all of you who spent every Saturday night with us for the past 7 years and 9 seasons. And special thanks to our hosts and crew members, who were willing to put time and effort into leading our show.”
