Sulli’s entertainment program “Jinri Market” provided her with an opportunity that she says helped her.
Sulli, a former member of f(x), sported a quirky and unique style in her latest pictorial in fashion magazine Grazia. The shoot partially reflected the city where it took place, Tokyo. Unlike the bustle that the metropolis is known for, there was a quiet and still atmosphere that allows viewers to focus on focal pieces and makeup for the upcoming spring season.
In the interview that followed the shoot, Sulli expressed her feeling about “Jinri Market” which ended recently. With filming having taken place in Europe, the singer and actress said that the show “brought me into the outside world” because she had to meet so many different people outside of what she is used to. Additionally, with the focus on the show being a pop-up shop, she also had to take on managerial duties and took part in important meetings.
Overall, she says that her biggest gain came in the form of people. ” I have vivid memories with everyone, including those involved in the pop-u, fan I met, and so on,” recalled Sulli.
Sulli from f(x) opened up about rumors and controversies about herself.
On January 15th, Naver VLive released a special clip of ‘Jinri Market’, which is a reality program starring Sulli.
In the video, Sulli shared her thoughts about the controversies that have been going around. She said, “I was very sorry to my friends. I didn’t know why my good friends had to be criticized because of me. Those who know me well understand that I have no bad intentions. However, there are many people who just look at me with prejudice and judge me, and it is quite upsetting”.
She continued and said, “I feel like it’s changed a lot, though, and I hope it will change even more in the future. And I will need to be more responsible for my friends and be more thankful for my fans”.
Earlier on January 2nd, Sulli posted multiple photos and got criticized from the netizens. Many people found these photos shocking and unconventional. Some of the photos showed Sulli and his male friend lying down together, and his head on Sulli’s stomach. When people negatively commented on the posts, Sulli wrote a comment herself saying “Why? What about me?”.
Meanwhile, ‘Jinri Market’ is Sulli’s very first reality show. On the show, Sulli became a CEO and opened a pop-up store, where she learned how to communicate with people.
A photographer is a hot issue right now for resembling singer IU.
Photographer Kim Cheonga first gained recognition back in 2017 for looking very much alike IU.

Sulli reveals her brother for the first time through her reality show “Jinri Store”
On November 15, episode 7 of “Jinri Store” was released through Naver V app. The episode unfolded with underlying theme of “family,” for which Sulli invited her older brother to guest on her reality show.
The idol-turned-actress paid a visit to her second oldest brother, all the way from Seoul to Jeonju. They sat own rather awkwardly and began to update one another on each other’s life. Sulli started to ask about her brother’s career as a chef, which he had just recently started, “I cannot believe you cook. I need to come visit your restaurant, soon.”
In response, her brother said, “I didn’t know I would be cooking for a living, either. And you should visit my restaurant. I don’t go around telling people, but I’m very proud of you. It’s nothing something I should hide and it would be weird to hide my affection for you, anyway.”
Afterwards, the brother and sister continued to share a rather deep conversation. It was a chance for them to show how much they really care for one another before beginning their lives together living under the same roof.
At the end, Sulli’s brother expressed his worries towards his little sister. He said, “I was so shocked when I saw her today. She lost a lot of weight. It’s a long distance between us since she lives all the way in Seoul. That’s why it irritates me whenever I hear a bad news regarding Jinri. Celebrities are not gods. I do not like it when people talk about her as if they actually know her. Her story is mine and my story is hers. She is someone that I can’t ever get rid of in my life.”

Singer and actress Sully posted on social media to honor the memory of comfort women.
On August 14, ceremonies held in South Korea’s capital Seoul inaugurated the country’s first Memorial Day for Japanese Forces’ Comfort Victims or comfort women as they are referred to commonly.
The word “comfort” though, does little to hint at the brutality that tens of thousands of Asian women endured when they were forced by Japanese Imperial forces into sexual servitude in brothels found all over the continent during World War II.
Unsurprisingly, the terror of that time has left a palpable scar on the country with the topic explored in art like the 2016 film Spirits’ Homecoming which topped the box office with 2.2 million moviegoers. However, the redress movement that started in 1991 with former comfort woman Kim Hak-sun publically testifying about her experience kick-started a series of events for recognition and reparations.
On this day, singer and actress Sulli posted on her Instagram account promoting the day.
Further, she also honored the victims of the Japanese military and cheered for the comfort women who are still alive today.
In the post, the former F(x) member included a poster that features a famous comfort woman statue. However, while she did not write a message to accompany the picture, the same cannot be said about the commenters. In the over 7000 comments responding to the post, Japanese netizens wrote strong criticisms. Conversely, Korean netizens praised Sulli and clashed with others online.
Sulli post helped to bring the topic of comfort women and the memorial day to the attention of many. Singer Kim Jang-hoon expressed gratitude writing that this is perhaps the “first time I’ve like a celebrity SNS post” and thanked the singer and actress for sharing information about the new holiday.
