Previously, reports stated that Jennie was aiming for a solo debut later this year. However, Yang Hyun-Suk explains that all 4 members of BLACKPINK will get the opportunity to have solo releases. The company has made this decision to prove that the members have the ability to not only bond as a team, but also thrive as a solo artist.

The post continued, “Jennie’s solo will be the first one to be released, followed by Rose. The biggest strength of BLACKPINK is that each member’s ability and talent as a soloist is as strong as their teamwork and cohesiveness.”
