Singer-turned-actor Im Si-wan has confirmed his first work after his military discharge.
Before his military discharge in March, Im Si-wan has confirmed the comeback work. The artist will lead the webtoon-based drama, “Stranger Is Hell” (working title).
“Stranger Is Hell” is one of the most popular thriller webtoons. The webtoon juxtaposes internal and external conflicts among people living in a small dormitory. In the drama, Im Si-wan in to act the role of a guy who came to Seoul and started living in the dorm to get a job.
“We’re honored to work with Im Si-wan as we and many of the original work’s fans wished,” said OCN.
The drama will be produced as a part of OCN’s Dramatic Cinema Project. The project is designed to combine the formats of drama and movie to produce quality dramas of specific genres.
“Stranger Is Hell” will premiere in the second half of 2019.
Actor Im Si-wan and Urban Zakapa vocalist Jo Hyun-ah collaborated on a duet song ‘Tick Tock’. The song will be released on Oct 9.
‘Tick Tock’ is a song about a couple waiting for their inevitable separation because of the boyfriend’s military enlistment. Im Si-wan and Jo Hyun-ah sing of the cute couple and their struggle against time.
The song was composed by Loveholic member Lee Jae-hak and fellow Urban Zakapa vocalist Jo-hyun. Im and Jo participated in writing lyrics that express the sadness behind two peoples’ impending separation.
Im Si-wan acted in MBC’s ‘The King Loves’ and sang an OST track, ‘My Heart’ for the drama. ‘Tick Tock’ is a surprise gift for fans who are waiting for his return from the military.
