Shinee’s Taemin will be making his acting debut in Japan.

On August 24, Sankei Sports and other Japanese news outlets reported that Shinee’s Taemin would be appearing in an upcoming Amazon Prime Japanese drama, ‘Final Life – Even if You Disappear Tomorrow’.

‘Final Life’ is a drama about two men who meet in a secret police organization and handle tough cases together.

Taemin plays Sung Si-on, a graduate of an elite university who loses his memories in a top-secret experiment. Matsuda Shota from ‘Boys Over Flowers’ plays an ace investigator who worked his way up from poverty.

Filming for the drama started in May and finished after three months. It has been eight years since Taemin’s first acting appearance in MBC’s sitcom, ‘Tae Hee, Hye Kyo, Ji Hyun’. ‘Final Life’ is the singer’s second project, but first big opportunity to display his acting skills.

Taemin will be singing ‘What’s This Feeling’ as a part of the drama OST. “I tried hard to master the Japanese and English lines,” he said. “In addition to the lines, I had a hard time getting the subtle expressions down, but I received a lot of advice and worked hard. Please look forward to it.”

‘Final Life’ will release its first episode on September 8.
