SHINee Key takes on the role as the sole MC for the show “Breakers.” As a multi-talented artist, there are high hopes for him.
On Friday, a production presentation on Mnet’s new music program “Breakers” at Time Square’s Amoris Hall in Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo district. There, all of the announced contestants, SHINee Key, and the production director Hwang Sung-ho were present to talk about the show.
The show, which premiered late that day, has the singer-songwriters compete in individual battles against each other. Moreover, these competitions will cover different genres. As such, the contestants will have to utilize their writing, composing, and vocal production skills fully to succeed. Besides this, the show is distinctive because the songs created will be evaluated live by the audience.
Furthermore, during the presentation, Key revealed his feeling about his first solo MC role. He said that “I thought I would have to study a lot.” However, it seems that knowledge of music came naturally as part of the show. Key commented that ” I think all eight of the cast members are talented. I’m learning each genre anew through the cast.”
Key is a Hallyu star from the senior SM Entertainment boy group SHINee. Additionally, he has proven himself to be multi-talented because of his experience as an idol, musical and drama actor. Moreover, since he is a savvy social media user, the show’s producers feel that he will communicate with the audience and fans well.
