MBC’s 12-year old variety show, ‘Infinity Challenge,’ comes to an end on March 31. Until its comeback, MBC had announced a plan for a brand new show to fill in the gap.

However, this might take a bit longer than we expected.

While ‘Infinity Challenge’ only has 2 episodes left until the end of season 1, the new “successor” program, produced by Choi Haeng-ho PD, is still hiding under its veil.

According to a source, it hasn’t even completed the process for crew casting, let alone film their first episode. An official from entertainment agencies said, “the production team is calling various agencies to discuss the possibilities for the cast members. However, they are not being direct about the format or any other details of the upcoming show.” Another said, “with this velocity, it will be hard to release the first episode by April. The schedule will definitely be pushed back.”

However, this could be a good news because ‘Infinity Challenge’ decided to say good-bye with a special episode in the first week of April. This could be due to the delay of production of the new program.

The news broke out from MBC themselves on March 22, but they did not share details about the special episode. Regarding the contents or filming schedule, nothing is set in stone.
