The drama adaptation of popular Korean film “The Beauty Inside” has confirmed the casting with Seo Hyun-jin and Lee Min-ki.
JTBC’s new Mon/Tue drama, “The Beauty Inside” will start shooting with the finalized casts.
The drama adaptation of “The Beauty Inside” will twist the original plot. It depicts the romantic relationship between a woman who has to spend a week of a month with someone else’ face and a man who has trouble recognizing others’ faces.
The original film under the same title has garnered a huge success, winning Clio Awards and the Cannes Grand Prix. Its full-length adaptation, which was released in 2015, also won much popularity.
By adding a twist on the characters, the drama adaptation of the film is expected to give a new appeal. The love story between a top actress and the only man who can recognize her even without her original face will be made enjoyable to everyone by adding comical twists.
Seo Hyun-jin, who has proved her ability in the genre in the drama “Oh Hae-Young Again,” reunites with the producer Song Hyun-wook in the upcoming drama. Lee Min-ki, who revealed that he was a regular viewer of “Oh Hae-Young Again,” expressed his excitement to work with the two.
The drama adaptation of “The Beauty Inside” plans to premiere in the second half of the year.
