Lee Jong-Suk confirms his first-ever romantic comedy drama since debut!

On September 28, Lee Jong-Suk confirmed to appear in the tvN’s upcoming drama “Romance Addendum” (literal translation & working title). With this confirmation, the actor will be taking on a role in his first-ever romantic comedy since his debut 8 years ago.

“Romance Addendum” tells a story of various people working at a publishing company. In the drama, Lee Jong-Suk will take on the role of Cha Eun-Ho, a genius writer who is also the youngest publisher at the company to become the editor in chief.

The character made his sudden and abrupt appearance in the field in college and became the “idol of paragraphs” with his extraordinary writing skills. Even though he keeps his cool about work, he has a warn heart and logical mind when it comes to other people. Thus, he is every woman’s perfect package.

Furthermore, the drama also gathered much attention for who will be directing and writing its script. Director Lee Jong-Hyo and writer Jung Hyung-Jung have decided to join forces once again. The two has a history of working together for the famous “I Need Romance” series. Moreover, director Lee Jong-Hyo also directed hit-dramas, such as OCN’s “Life on Mars” and tvN’s “Good Wife.”

In response, Lee Jong-Suk commented, “I’ve been a big fan of the two since I was young. I’m glad to have gained this opportunities to work with them through the upcoming drama. Because this is my first challenge appearing in a rom-com drama, I have much expectation for myself, as well. Because it has a different vibe and atmosphere compared to my previous works, I think the public will be able to see a whole different side of me.”

Meanwhile, tvN’s upcoming drama “Romance Addendum” is scheduled to premiere in the first half of next year.
