Former I.O.I member Jeon So-mi has decided to continue her career independently after leaving JYP Entertainment.
Last month, Jeon So-mi who was a former member of I.O.I and “Produce 101” participant announced that she had decided to leave JYP Entertainment. The move surprised many given that she was set to make a debut with a new girl group. As such, many speculated what the singer would do next.
According to Daily Sports, Jeon expressed interest in other companies but ultimately decided to continue independently. Instead of a management company, the singer’s father Matthew Douma. Currently, he is managing her schedule with the help of Jeon’s other family members.
Until now, the exact reason why Jeon resolved to cancel her contract with JYP Entertainment. Regarding this, industry insiders said that any company that may work with the singer will have to ask for the cause.
