On April 22, news spread that Kim Haon, known as HAON, from the music show “High School Rapper 2” had signed to hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC. However, a source from the label revealed that they are discussing an “exclusive contract” with the rapper, but “nothing has been decided.”

H1GHR MUSIC is an independent music label created by former 2PM frontman Jay Park and his longtime colleague and collaborator Cha Cha Malone. Since its establishment in 2017, they have recruited an extensive list of heavy-hitting hip-hop and R&B artists. Some of the people signed to the label include producer Groovy Room, G.Soul, Woodie Gochild, Sik-K, pH-1, and more are all affiliated with the company.

Kim won Mnet’s music survival program “High School Rapper 2,” which ended on Friday. He grabbed the spotlight for his outstanding performances and topped charts with the songs he released through the show. Even while the show was airing, many wondered where and what he would do once it concluded.

Meanwhile, the artists from H1GHR MUSIC are currently on a U.S. tour with stops in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
