Earlier this month three members of Girls’ Generation did not renew their contracts with SM Entertainment. Now, former girl group member Soo-young eyes a new agency.
On October 16 and entertainment official said, “Soo-young is discussing a possible contract with Daniel Henney’s Echo Global Group agency.” He continued, “Today with Echo Global Group officials we discussed what would right for Soo-young. However, we have yet to create a contract.” he said.
Discussions with this agency demonstrates Soo-young’s desire to continue activities in Korea and expand internationally. Furthermore, Soo-young has demonstrated a desire to continue acting and it is likely that she will sign with an agency with strong acting support. Soo-young made her acting debut in 2007 with “Unstoppable Marriage”. Since then she has stared in additional drama series throughout the years.
Earlier this month Soo-young decided to not re-new her contract with SM Entertainment. Subsequently, she also leaves Girls’ Generation after 10 active years with the girl group. She is currently starring in MBC’s weekend drama ” Man In the Kitchen”. Until she signs with a new agency SM Entertainment will continue Soo-young’s management.
