Globally renowned French novelist Bernard Werber surprised everyone by making his first Korean variety show appearance in “Pocha Beyond Borders.”
On December 19 episode of “Pocha Beyond Borders,” a special guest gave a pleasant surprise to everyone. Bernard Werber, who lives in Paris, visited the food cart and enjoyed tofu kimchi with soju prepared by the “Pocha Beyond Borders” team.
“Pocha Beyond Borders” is a TV show which sends a group of Korean celebrities to a foreign city to manage a “Pojangmacha,” a small tented food cart that sells simple food with alcoholic beverages.
Previous to their trip to Paris, the cast members send messages to celebrities in Paris and invited them to the food cart. Actress Shin Se-kyung, one of the cast members, sent a message to Bernard Werber, who kindly accepted the invitation and paid a visit to the food cart.
Both Shin Se-kyung and Lee Yi-kyung, who was reading his latest novel at the time, greeted him with great pleasure. The French writer ordered tofu kimchi and soju, explaining that he enjoys the dish frequently.
