Samyang Food, which is renowned for globally popular spicy instant noodle Buldak Bokkeum Myeon, has released “Buldak Tteokbokki.”
On October 23, Samyang Food announced the release of “Buldak Tteokbokki.” The new product from the manufacturer of Buldak Bokkeum Myeon, which is commonly known as the “Fire Noodle,” replaces ramen noodles with Tteok, Korean rice cake.
Buldak Tteokbokki uses Fire Noodle’s signature spicy sauce. The product is made to cook in a microwave, as it is initially released to convenience stores.
As Tteokbokki is a popular snack food beloved by Koreans and non-Koreans alike, expectations for the new product are high. Also, the product is released in two most popular flavors – original and carbonara – which makes it enjoyable for everyone.

Product reviews are mostly positive as well. Especially, many people found Carbonara-flavored Buldak Ttteokbokki enjoyable, for its cream flavor eases the spiciness.
