Netflix’ first Korean original drama series, “Love Alarm,” launches the production with a plan to premiere next year.


The drama adaptation of cartoonist Chun Kye-young’s popular web cartoon series, “Love Alarm,” is ready to launch the production this year.

Centering around a virtual mobile application that alerts its users if anyone nearby harbors romantic feelings for them, the story follows people who still want to connect with people with true feelings. Produced by one of the biggest names of the history of Korean cartoons, the web cartoon series garnered a sensational popularity. Since 2014, the series has been continued to the seventh season.

The drama adaption will be directed by Lee Na-jeong of “Fight for My Way.” The drama will be consist of eight episodes and will premier next year on Netflix.
