Actor Cho Jae-hyun announced to take a legal action against the actress who is claiming she had been sexually assaulted by the actor.

Earlier, the actress, who is a Korean resident in Japan, claimed that she was raped by Cho when they were filming the same TV show 18 years ago. Yet, Cho Jae-hyun is denying the accusation.

Through the SBS show ‘Hanbam’ on June 26th, Cho’s lawyer announced, “the actor has never raped the actress. It was consensual. They had a sexual intercourse at the actress’s house, and it was just an affair after marriage for him.”

The lawyer continued and said, “the actress’s mother runs a luxury bag business and it has been not doing well. She recently requested us 300 million won. Cho has already been giving her money for more than 10 years, so this time he decided to take a legal action.” On June 22nd, Cho Jae-hyun put a charge on her for blackmailing.

“Cho Jae-hyun is not thinking about going back to the entertainment industry right now. He said he wouldn’t even give her a penny because not only he is not working, but also it was not a rape”, Cho’s lawyer added.

Meanwhile, the show also aired their interview with the actress. She said, “there was a drama shooting in either 1999 or 2000. Cho told me he would help me practice the script, and took me to a men’s bathroom which was dark and under construction. In there, he raped me. After the rape, he even asked me, ‘it was good, right?’. After the incident, I broke up with my then fiance and was also hospitalized.”
