On June 29, the producers behind “Dancing High,” confirmed that star choreographer Lia Kim has decided to join the show as a dance coach.

The upcoming program is the nation’s first entertainment show that will feature teenage dancers. With the focus on young talent, KBS, the company behind the show, hopes to attract viewers’ attention.

While some may not know Kim by name, they certainly have come across her choreography at some point. She is behind the “Shooting Dance” seen in Sunmi’s “Gashina,” and the signature move in “24 hours.”If you are unaware of those songs, then you have at least seen the TWICE’s “TT,” which Kim also choreographed. Additionally, she trained SNSD’s Hyoyeon and 2NE1’s Minzy, both of whom are considered great dancers.

With her dancing genius, Kim has gained international recognition. In addition to these K-Pop groups, the famed dances also created the elegant routine in Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” that currently has 3.4 billion views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Kim will be joining Super Junior Eunhyuk, SHINee Taemin, and Highlight’s Lee Gi-kwang. KBS plans to air the show sometime in September.
