BLACKPINK members now have over 10 million followers each on Instagram with Lisa placing No.1 with most followers for Korean female celebrities.
BLACKPINK has been making history just 2 weeks into 2019! On January 12, OSEN reported BLACKPINK’s Lisa had over 13 million followers on Instagram with all the other members having over 10 million followers each (Jisoo also has 10 million followers as of January 14.) Lisa sets a record for having the most followers out of Korean female celebrities.
BLACKPINK actively uses social media to communicate with fans, sharing not only their music but also fashion, beauty and more. In addition to setting a record for most followers, BLACKPINK’s DDU-DU DDU-DU set the record for reaching 600 million views in the shortest time among female Kpop groups.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK has the most music videos with at least 300 million views compared with other female Kpop groups. BLACKPINK currently has over 17 million followers on YouTube and previously received recognition for their popularity in August 2018 with the ‘Diamond Creators Award.’

The global impact of BLACKPINK can be observed from BLACKPINK making history in this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
