While Big Bang is taking a rest from the group activity, the group continues to set records.
While four of the members are serving in the military, the 12-year-old K-pop group has recently set records without activities.
Previously in March, the group released “Flower Road,” the first song release in 15 months with all members. Big Bang placed the song on the top of the local music charts, and the song is still enjoying the popularity on the chart.
In addition, the YouTube page for the group has recently surpassed 10 Million subscribers. With the number, Big Bang is to receive “Diamond Creator Awards,” the highest recognition from YouTube.
Also, the viewer countings for Big Bang’s music videos are increasing continuously, reaching groundbreaking numbers. Starting with “Fantastic Baby” and “Bang Bang Bang” that went over 300 million views, G-Dragon and Taeyang’s “Good Boy” reached 200 million views and most of other music videos easily surpass 100 million views. As G-Dragon’s “Who You?” reached 100 million views on September 10, Big Bang now has 14 music videos with over 100 million views.
While all the other members are serving for the country, Seungri is taking this as an opportunity to show his abilities. The youngest member of the group is especially talented in variety shows, as shown in the latest episode of “Running Man.”
Seungri is also taking a huge role in YG Entertainment’s new variety show, “YG Electronics.” Meanwhile, he is also running a tour concert in Japan, which is his first solo tour.
