Celebrating a decade since his debut, actor Song Joong-ki decided to share the significant milestone with fans.
On September 2, Song Joong-ki held a fan meeting at the Peace Hall at Kyung-hee University to mark the 10th year since he made his entertainment debut. The event, called “Our Day Together,” was a way for the actor to honor and share the milestone with fans who have supported him since his debut until now.
However, it was not a one-sided event. The actor’s fans prepared a special 10-year trophy which Song received at a red carpet set up for the fan meeting. Further, his fan clubs based in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore were well represented with intricate and beautiful congratulatory bouquets.
Regarding the event, Song wrote a letter to fans where he expressed his surprise and gratitude. “It’s amazing and weird to think that this year is the 10th anniversary of my debut,” he said about the milestone. Continuing the actor looked to the future and promised to act for another decade in which time he wants to improve consistently.
During the fanmeet, Song talked about the past roles that he has taken throughout his acting career. In particular, he showed his sincerity and development as an actor by sharing thoughts on his profession and values in the field.
In another segment of the event, the actor took on the role of an MC and read stories from his fans. At this point, his close friend and fellow actor Lee Kwang-soo appeared as a special guest. Together, they reignited their famed bromance as they played a virtual reality (VR) game. Afterward, celebrities Kim Min-seok and 2PM Junho exposed Song’s daily routine in a “blind-talk” activity that entertained fans.
Meanwhile, Song confirmed his appearance in the upcoming tVN drama “The Chronicles of Asdal.”
