Viewers of the show are sure to recognize Lee Jung-hyun’s face in the hit tVN drama “Mr. Sunshine” as the Japanese soldier Tsuda.
During an interview on SBS’s “Night of Real Entertainment,” actor Lee Jung-hyun revealed how he ended up in “Mr. Sunshine.”
According to the actor, the production crew cast him without an audition. “I heard that I was cast in ‘Mr. Sunshine”… but this is the first time I’ve been cast without an audition” he said. Reportedly, it was his performance in the movie Pak Yol that sealed the deal. However, it seems that his role as the Japanese soldier Tsuda may have been too good.
“I am not Japanese” he stated. “I am grateful for the attention and bad words (from viewers)” he said, saying that the mean comments are proof that he played his character well.
