According to an OSEN News report on Tuesday, actor Kim Min-seok, who starred in “Descendents of the Sun,” has been assigned to the Army Scientific and Technological Warfare Training Corps at the Korean Combat Training Center in Gangwon-do, South Korea.

The Army Scientific and Technological Warfare Training Corps is the only special force in the country. It operates a specialized anti-air force regiment and special forces training to implement simulated battles that are close to the actual thing.

During these simulations, Kim’s corp aims to utilize advanced technology such as MILES (multiple integrated laser engagement system), data communications and other computer-based programs to gain an advantage. Data from these exercises is sent central control center every 30 seconds. People in the army attest that the training is so difficult that no unit has ever defeated the opposing forces.
