Actor Kim Joo-hyuk has passed away from a car accident.

According to the Gangnam Police Station, Kim Joo-hyuk had the accident at 4:30 P.M. on the 30th on a street in Samsung Dong, Seoul. During the accident, Kim’s car was overturned.

Kim joo hyuk was transported to a nearby hospital after rescue, however, he died at 6:30 P.M. after attempted CPR.

Gangnam Police Station announced that they are “currently preparing for a statement about Kim’s accident.” They are also investigating the exact cause of the accident.

Kim Joo-hyuk debuted back in 1998 through SBS’ 8th open recruitment. After debut, Kim showed great performances in a variety of dramas and films including ‘A River Runs Through It’, ‘Lovers in Prague’, ‘Musin’, ‘Guam Heojun’, ‘Argon’, ‘Cheongyeon’, ‘My Wife Got Married’, ‘Bangjajun’, ‘The Truth Beneath’, and more.
