On April 14, YouTube star ‘Korean Englishman’ uploaded a teaser video for the upcoming “reaction video” with the actors of ‘The Avengers: Infinity War.’ The video became a problem because it heavily focused on three actors: Tom Holland, Tom Hiddleston, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Naturally, they left actress Pom Klementieff out of the picture. Following the video, many netizens criticized Korean Englishman for “being discriminatory against Pom Klementieff.”

In response, Korean Englishman posted their official apology with the actual video. They said, “we would like to express our heartfelt apologies regarding the trailer for this video. Rather than making excuses, we would like to acknowledge our mistakes and express our deepest remorse.”

To explain, they continued, “no matter how excited we were personally about meeting those actors, it is no excuse to leave one of them out. Pom Klementieff was a pleasure and honour to meet, and absolutely does not deserve to be neglected recognition in favour of her colleagues, or in any way.”

Following their apology, Korean Englishman also took down the controversial video.

However, some netizens still argued that “the feedback was not correct”. They were referring to the part where Korean Englishman said how happy they were personally for meeting the actors. Regarding this particular part, one netizen said, “why would you film the video with four actors and only mention three of them in the thumbnail and caption? And yet, you did it again with your apology.”
