Yook Ji-dam is demanding an apology from CJ E&M and YMC Entertainment regarding her scandal with Kang Daniel. However, both agencies are confused to about what they need to apologize.
On March 21, Yook Ji-dam posted on her blog and listed out the malicious acts that she had suffered through. She said, “I would like to start an investigation against the cars that followed me around on the streets. The foreigners who tried to drag me to the airport in Los Angeles last month, Koreans and other Asians who stalked me in their cars. I would like to check the security cameras.”
In addition, she said, “what did I do to make CJ and YMC to refuse my calls? Jessi, Ailee, Jenny House, the YMC executive, and my former agency, CJ. I was only trying to survive since scary things were happening to me. Meanwhile, I never received a single call from YMC or CJ.” She concluded, “I would like to receive an apology from CJ, YMC, and the artists that belong to both agencies for the tyranny of large corporations imposed on me and my family.” Her writing seemed rather incoherent and rambling.
She also mentioned the scandal with Kang Daniel that she had previously posted on Instagram. She said, “I tried to talk to Kang Daniel to resolve things from inside, but they wanted to hide away Wanna One from this. Out of all the malicious comments, I could not find a single comment for me.” With this, she said she will sue against the vicious comments and rumors about her.
In response, YMC said, “we have never been in contact with Yook Ji-dam so we do not understand what kind of apology she wants from us. We will try out best to protect our artists from getting harmed by this incident.” By this, YMC is intending to protect not only Wanna One, but also Jessi and Ailee who were mentioned in Yook Ji-dam’s blog post.
CJ E&M, a former agency of Yook Ji-dam, claimed that “our contract with Yook Ji-dam ended last fall. Since then, we have never contacted her under the agency’s name. We don’t understand about what she wants us to apologize.”
