The YG  Entertainment and Genie Music partnership will focus on music distribution.

Genie Music has signed a music and records distribution contract with YG Entertainment (YG). This is according to an announcement on December 8 from a Genie Music representative who confirmed the news. They will begin distributing new and existing music from YG and its subsidiary YG Plus. Additionally, they will also collaborate with YG for artist-linked marketing.

Kim Hoon-bae, Genie Music CEO, said, ” We plan to continue our collaborative partnership with YG, one of Korea’s top domestic agencies.” Further, “We will continue to grow through various cooperative business projects.”

Genie music is a South Korean company specializing in the production and distribution of music content. Additionally, they are also a major music streaming services used all over Asia. Going forward, the company is developing the A.I for their music platform in partnership with KT and LG U+.

Further, Genie Music is also apparently planning to continue building strategic partnerships with more content provider and further invest in content production.

Meanwhile, YG’s founder and CEO Yang Min-suk, is preparing to launch the label’s next generation groups.
